Twirrle

How prices work

One official index, a new value every 250 ms. Nobody, not even Twirrle, can pick a better price than the next official value, and your browser can check every one.

  • Every 250 ms

Median of independent sources, stale and outlier quotes removed

  • Hash-chained

Each value carries the hash of the one before it.

  • Checked by you

Your browser recomputes the chain and shows what it checked.

The index

From an index computed every 250 ms as the median of independent sources. Each value has a sequence number and is chained to the previous one by a hash, so history cannot be edited quietly.

Your entry and exit

  1. 1You press Up or DownThe position is sent with your amount and leverage.
  2. 2We accept itYour balance, your limits and the market are checked.
  3. 3The next official value is your entryThe first official index value after we accept your request — never the last price you saw and never one we choose. Closing works the same way: the next official value after your close reaches us, on the same 250 ms grid.

No close fee

You enter and exit at the official index value itself, with no spread, and closing a position costs nothing. The fees are the same for everyone and listed on the Fees page.

Every price on the record

Each index value carries a sequence number and the hash of the one before it, and every day is sealed. Your browser can recompute the chain and show what it checked.

When a feed fails

Opens pause while the index is not reliable, and no position is liquidated on a bad value. If a position cannot enter, it is refunded and marked as such in your history.

Questions

No. The index is the median of outside sources and every value is chained and sealed; a changed value would break the chain your browser checks.
