Risk Disclosure
Positions with leverage carry a high risk of losing the whole amount quickly. Read this before using the real-money book.
In short
- Every position can lose its whole amount, and with high leverage that can happen within seconds: at 100× a move of just under 1 % against you liquidates the position, at 1000× one of about 0.06 %. Only use money you can afford to lose.
- Fees are part of every position: an opening fee, a share of profits and a holding fee while it stays open. Over many positions they make the expected result negative for you; this is how Twirrle earns money.
- Small, fast moves are close to random. Past results, streaks or patterns do not predict the next move.
- Crypto deposits and withdrawals carry their own risks: wrong networks, irreversible transfers, network fees and congestion.
Nature of the product
A position is not an investment, a loan, a deposit or a security. You do not acquire the underlying asset and there is no market where you can sell a position to someone else; it can only be closed with Twirrle at the official index value. The leverage amplifies results in both directions; it is not borrowing and you can never lose more than the amount.
Market and index risk
Crypto prices can move sharply within seconds, and a gap can carry the price past your liquidation price in one step: the position then closes at that value and the amount is lost. The official index depends on public price sources and network connectivity; when it is not reliable, new positions are paused. Delays between your device and our servers mean the price you see may already be old when your request arrives — your entry and exit are always the next official value.
Technical risk
Outages of your connection, our servers or providers can prevent you from opening or closing positions. Open positions keep following the official index, and liquidation and automatic triggers still apply. Set auto loss if you cannot watch a position. “Close” and “Close all” act at once, without a confirmation step, at the first valid official value after the request reaches us; press them only when you mean to. Delays on your side are not grounds for a claim.
Crypto custody and transfer risk
- Blockchain transfers are irreversible. Sending to a wrong address or network usually means the funds are lost.
- Stablecoins can lose their peg; their issuers can freeze tokens.
- Network fees vary and can be high when networks are busy; confirmations can take longer than estimated.
- Custody of crypto assets can fail (hacks, key loss, provider failures). Balances are not covered by deposit-guarantee schemes.
Legal and regulatory risk

Staying in control
Decide your budget before you start, keep the leverage low while you learn, use auto loss, the limits and reality checks, and take a break when you feel the urge to win back losses. See the Limits page.
