Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Twirrle: accounts, positions with leverage, the official index, deposits and withdrawals, limits and disputes.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Twirrle (“Twirrle”, “we”, “us”), the operator of twirrle.com and its apps (the “Service”). By creating an account, ticking the sign-up box or using the Service you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Risk Disclosure, the Fees page, the Limits page and the AML/KYC policy, which form part of these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms; when we do, we change the version date at the top and ask signed-in users to accept the new version before continuing.
2. Who may use the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live if that is higher.
- You must have full legal capacity and use the Service only for yourself, never on behalf of someone else.
- The real-money book is available only in countries and regions we have explicitly allowed (an allowlist). At the date of this version it is not open anywhere: only the practice book is available. We decide your region from technical signals such as your IP address and may ask for documents to confirm it.
- You must not use the Service where it is not legal for you, and you must not hide your location (for example with a VPN, proxy or false documents) to reach the real-money book. Doing so is a serious breach of these Terms.
- Employees of Twirrle and their close family may not use the real-money book.
3. Your account
- You need a registered account to open positions; visitors can watch the board without one. Registration requires a valid e-mail address, a display name and a password, passkey or both. A new account starts with a practice balance of $100,000.
- One person, one account. Duplicate, shared or purchased accounts may be closed.
- Keep your sign-in factors safe. Turn on a passkey or two-step verification. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our own failure.
- Information you give us must be true and kept up to date. We may ask you to verify it (see the AML/KYC policy).
- Your display name must not be offensive, misleading or impersonate anyone.
4. What a position is
A position is a contract with Twirrle on the movement of the official Twirrle index for a market (for example BTC/USD). You choose a market, a direction (“Up” or “Down”), an amount and leverage. Your result is the index move in your direction, multiplied by the leverage, applied to your amount, net of the fees on the Fees page. The Service is not an exchange: you never own, buy or sell the underlying asset, there is no order book, no borrowing and no counterparty other than Twirrle.
- Amount: the sum you put down; it is taken from your balance when the position is accepted and is the most you can lose on that position. You never owe more than the amount.
- Leverage: a whole number within the range shown in the app (currently up to 1000×; a market may allow less). A higher leverage means larger results for the same move, in both directions.
- Entry: the first official index value on the 250 ms grid after we accept your position — not the last price you saw, and never a price we pick.
- Close fee: there is none. Your entry and your exit fill at the official index value itself, with no spread. The fees are shown under Fees.
- Exit: when you close (“Close”), the first official index value after your request reaches us. There is no expiry: a position stays open until you close it, an automatic trigger closes it, it is liquidated, or it is closed under section 6.
- Liquidation: if the official index reaches the liquidation price shown before you open (a move against you of about 1 ÷ leverage), the position closes and the amount is lost. The liquidation price moves slightly closer as holding fees are taken.
- Auto profit and auto loss: you may set net amounts at which the position closes by itself, at the first official value that reaches them.
- Most profit per position: when a position’s profit reaches the maximum shown in the app (a set amount), it closes and the profit is paid.
- Largest position: the amount after the opening fee multiplied by the leverage may not exceed the maximum shown in the app; a larger position is refused when you try to open it.
- Once accepted, a position cannot be cancelled; it can be closed at any time while its market is open.
- “Close” and “Close all” act at once, with no confirmation step. A close request is carried out at the first valid official index value after it reaches our servers. You are responsible for pressing them on purpose; delays on your side (device, network, browser) are not grounds for a claim.
The current rules and limits (leverage range, amounts, open positions, fees, most profit) come from the live configuration:
5. Price guard
To protect everyone from bad prices, new positions are paused while the index is stale, has too few independent sources or jumps abnormally, and when we halt a market. While paused, open positions keep following the official index; a value that does not meet the methodology is never used to open, close or liquidate a position. Markets with session hours close their open positions at the last valid value when the session ends; positions that could not enter are refunded.
6. The official index and checks
Every position is valued and settled only on the official Twirrle index: the median of several independent public price sources, calculated every 250 ms under a published methodology, recorded in a hash chain and sealed daily. For every closed position you can run a check in the app that verifies the entry and exit values and the chain in your browser.
The official index is the only reference. Prices on other websites, exchanges or your own data feeds do not change a result. If the index records values that are plainly wrong because of a source fault (for example a single source reporting a price far away from all others that passed our filters), we may void the affected positions and refund the amounts; we will explain such a decision on request.
7. Practice book and real-money (USD) book
- Practice balances are virtual. They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, exchanged or transferred, and may be reset. The practice book uses exactly the same rules and limits as the real-money book. Badges, ranks and leaderboard places come from the practice book only.
- The real-money book uses stablecoins (USDT, USDC) on the networks shown on the deposit page. It is available only where allowed and only after the checks described here and in the AML/KYC policy; it is currently not open. We may switch it off for everyone or for a region at any time; open positions can then still be closed.
- Balances are recorded in an append-only ledger. A balance never earns interest and is not a deposit with a bank or a regulated payment institution.
8. Deposits and withdrawals
- Send only the supported asset on the network shown with your deposit address. Assets sent on another network or other tokens may be lost or require a manual, best-effort recovery that we do not guarantee. Amounts below the network’s minimum deposit (shown on the deposit page) are kept and add up with your later deposits on that network: once the sum reaches the minimum the whole sum is credited; you can also ask Support for a refund.
- A deposit is credited after the number of block confirmations shown for its network.
- Deposits must come from wallets you control. Payments from third parties may be returned or held.
- Daily and monthly deposit and withdrawal limits apply (current values on the Help page and below). We may lower them for an account or require checks before raising them.
- Turnover rule: a deposit must be traded through once (positions opened worth at least the deposited amount) before it can be withdrawn. Profits can always be withdrawn. If you change your mind before that, ask Support for a refund of the untraded deposit; after our checks we send it to an address you control that you give Support, less the network fee.
- Withdrawals go to an address you control. A new withdrawal address can be used only after a cool-down period. You pay the network fee shown before you confirm. Large or unusual withdrawals may be reviewed by a person before they are sent.
- Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. Check the address and network carefully; we are not responsible for funds you send to a wrong address.
9. How we hold funds
We hold real-money balances in cryptocurrency wallets we control: a small amount in an online wallet that pays approved withdrawals, the rest in storage that needs several independent keys to move. Ledger balances are reconciled with on-chain balances. Despite these measures, crypto custody carries risks (see the Risk Disclosure). Funds are not covered by a deposit-guarantee or investor-compensation scheme.
10. Fair use
You must not:
- use software, bots or scripts to open or close positions, or exploit delays, errors or bugs in the Service or the index (for example by trading on prices seen elsewhere before our index reflects them);
- act together with other accounts, use several accounts, or hold opposite positions across accounts to move money between them;
- use the Service to launder money, finance crime or evade sanctions;
- attack, overload, reverse-engineer or probe the Service or other users’ accounts;
- harass others in chat or post unlawful, hateful or misleading content.
If we reasonably suspect a breach we may limit your account, void affected positions, hold balances while we investigate and, where the law requires, report to the authorities. We will tell you what we can, unless the law forbids it.
11. Limits and breaks
You can set loss, wager and positions-per-day limits, a session time limit, reality checks, breaks and self-exclusion (see the Limits page). Lowering a limit applies at once; raising or removing one applies after a cooling-off period. A self-exclusion cannot be shortened. We may also apply limits ourselves when we see signs of harm.
12. Closing an account
- You may ask Support to close your account at any time. Open positions are closed first; the remaining real-money balance is paid to an address you control after our checks.
- We may suspend or close an account for a breach of these Terms, for legal or regulatory reasons, if the information you gave is false, or if we stop offering the Service in your region. Unless the breach is serious (for example fraud or sanctions), we give notice and let you withdraw your legitimate balance.
- We keep records after closure as the law requires (see the Privacy Policy).
13. Questions, complaints and disputes
If you think a position was valued or closed wrongly, run its check in Performance and then write to us through Help & support with the position id. We check the request against the official index, the hash chain and our deterministic replay and answer in writing, normally within 14 days. A complaint does not stop other positions from running.
If we made a mistake, we correct the ledger with a counter-entry (we never edit history) and tell you what changed.
14. Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any market will be open. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost opportunity (including a position you could not open or close in time), for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control (such as network outages, blockchain congestion or forks, failures of price sources or service providers), or for losses from your own breach of these Terms or from someone using your sign-in factors.
Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amounts and balances directly affected by the event that caused the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
15. Intellectual property
The Service, the Twirrle name and logo, the index methodology texts and the software are ours or licensed to us. You may use the Service for your own personal use only. Index and check data may be shared freely.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by [governing law to be confirmed]. Disputes are decided by [competent courts to be confirmed], without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live. If a provision is found invalid, the rest stays in force. We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over the Service; you may not transfer your account.
17. Contact
Write to us through Help & support in the app or by e-mail to contact@twirrle.com. We answer in English and Turkish.
